It’s not often that I am able to share information relating to a specific remedy. The health benefits of supplementing with a quality, practitioner-only clean brand of activated sulforaphane (SFN) to mother and baby are outlined in this study. But the benefits go further – it’s also fabulous for dad, especially during pre-conception preparation.
A Monash University study using EnduraCell BioActive has just been published! Pre-eclampsia is associated with endothelial dysfunction, an abnormality SFN is known to beneficially influence.
This preliminary research project was able to show that SFN is readily absorbed through maternal circulation prior to delivery and to appear in the breast milk 2 days after birth.
The concluding remarks to the Abstract are: “Sulforaphane is present in the umbilical cord and breast milk, providing the world’s first evidence of sulforaphane maternal-fetal transfer in humans, and opening avenues for future research into relevant fetal implications.”
