It has been said that New Year’s Resolutions usually fail by mid February. If you are hoping to have a baby this year, let me help you establish a resolution that can result in the best possible outcome for you and your baby.
You don’t know what you don’t know which is one of the reasons I wrote my book: to inform and empower readers on how to improve their fertility.
Understanding both how your body works and how everything you are exposed to affects your reproductive health is key to having a healthy baby. This applies whether you intend to conceive naturally or with the aid of IVF.
Hormone disrupting chemicals
While more information is surfacing regarding the many chemicals present in our environment affecting hormones, more needs to be said. These chemicals are abundant in every-day items and they affect not only your hormones (and, as a result your fertility) but also the hormones of your baby. I first wrote about this ten years ago and, sadly, not much has changed today – except perhaps that exposure to these toxins has increased. Chapter 4 of my book explains these chemicals, where they are found, how you can avoid them, and how you can support their clearance (detoxing) from your body BEFORE you conceive.
The disturbing trend where children feel misplaced in their own body and at odds with their birth gender is increasing. There are huge debates among politicians and medical experts regarding the use of hormone blockers prior to puberty, but is this really a solution? No-one knows the long-term side effects of this type of treatment. Are we setting these children for more problems as they grow up? Most likely, yes.
Learning and understanding your role as parents-to-be in relation to the health outcomes of your children should be your first step well before trying to conceive. The information and research links contained in my book will empower you to make decisions to:
1. Improve your chances of conceiving naturally,
2. Improve the quality of the embryo thereby minimising the trauma of miscarriage,
3. Decrease risks of pregnancy complications,
4. Culminate in the live birth of a healthy baby, and
5. Support health outcomes of future generations.
Together we can keep the resolution to have a healthy baby this year. The first step is to get a copy of my book – either paperback or electronic. Consider this your homework.
Stay tuned for an exciting announcement. Until recently I have always encouraged you to seek the support of a local practitioner due to my clinic being located in Queensland (Australia). Technology is evolving (and so am I). Until soon.
